FIND YOUR PERFECT GLASSES
Here is everything you need to know about buying prescription glasses online.
1. FRAME SIZE AND SHAPE
Frames come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so it's important to know what will fit you the best. Size is important for both a comfortable feel and a flattering look, and the easiest way to determine it is to look at your current pair of glasses. Don't have one? Nothing to worry about – have a read through our description, and you will have no trouble choosing the perfect frames. If you already own a pair of glasses and are looking for an upgrade, take a closer look at the temples – each of them has a set of printed information. Here, you will find three main figures, representing the most important measurements and listed in millimeters.
47 – The width of the lens at the widest point horizontally.
Usually ranges from 40 to 60.
19 – The length of the gap between the lenses above your nose, known as the bridge.
Ranges from 14 to 24.
140 – The length of the temple.
Typically standartized – 135, 140 or 145.
CHECK YOUR FRAME SIZE
We made it easy for you to find the right fit. Try this simple calculator to learn the size of your glasses. Type in the width of the lens and the bridge length as printed on your frame. If you don't have any glasses, just try any frame to evaluate your size. Select the frames according to one of the following sizes: S, M, L.
THE PERFECT FIT FOR YOUR FACE
We all have unique facial features, but there are some general rules you should follow in order to find a pair of frames that truly are a perfect fit:
1. The top of your frames should be no higher than the line of your eyebrows.
2. Getting the right bridge design and position is the key to a comfortable fit.
3. The lower edge of the frames shouldn't sit on your cheeks, so to avoid rubbing or irritation.
4. The size should be proportional to your face. If you have a small face, don't choose large glasses, and vice versa.
5. The width of the frames should not be wider than the overall width of your face at the temples.

3. PRESCRIPTION READING
Each optometrist or ophthalmologist will have their own format for writing a prescription, so yours may not look exactly like the one pictured, but that's nothing to worry about. The essential information should be there, and it should always begin with your full name.
While you probably know whether you're nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism, it's not always that obvious from a prescription slip. Here's a simple explanation that will help you understand your own prescription slip and the abbreviations used in it.
Here's what glasses could be made with the prescription above:
Glasses 1 – distance glasses by using all data, except ADD. For distance, use the larger PD (63).
Glasses 2 – reading glasses by adding ADD to sphere. For reading, use the smaller PD (61).
Glasses 3 – office or progressive glasses by using all data, choosing the larger PD (63).
4. LENSES
The frame of the glasses is important for your style and comfort, but it's the lenses that will ensure you're not struggling with your vision. Here are the main types.
READING
A general use lens for when it's hard to read. If you are 40 or over and have noticed any difficulties with your vision at near distances (about 40 cm), letters seem blurry when reading and you want to move the text further away for more comfort, this is probably the type you are looking for.
DISTANCE
A general use lens for difficulties when looking at things far away. Typically prescribed to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism, distance lenses are the most common type of prescription lens.
OFFICE
This is the best lens for reading and working at the computer. Maximum comfort for vision in the near-to-intermediate distance.
PROGRESSIVE
These lenses have all the viewing zones balanced. Progressive lenses allow you to do close-up work (like reading a book), middle-distance work (like checking out a website on a computer), or distance viewing (like driving) without needing to switch your glasses for every task. If you are over 40 and you have problems with vision in all zones these lenses are designed for you.
5. PROTECTION
The best way to avoid eye discomfort caused by sunlight, lighting, reflections, wind, digital devices is to choose the right eye protection.
SELF-TINTING LENSES with integrated sun protection. They darken in seconds and clear up in just a few minutes, depending on your surroundings. Stylish and practical. 100% UV protection.
TINTED LENSES. Dark brown, green or grey tinted sunglasses (85% darkness) are ideal for when you’re out and about in the summer sun. They are dark enough to provide protection from glare but are still light enough to ensure that your vision is not impaired. 100% UV protection and antireflection coating from the back side of lenses. Can be made according to your prescription.
BLUEBARRIER COATING. If screens are a part of your daily life – whether it's for work or play – the lenses with blue light blocking coating will help to protect your eyes and avoid asthenopic complaints or visual discomfort.
BLUEPRO MATERIAL. Some people's eyes are much more sensitive for blue light radiation from light sources or screens, which causes irritation and tiredness. BluePro material provides extremely strong protection from harmful blue light (95%) and dangerous UV rays (100%).
